Java Developer Position Description: The senior developer will be responsible for design, development, maintenance and support for a variety of business line Web applications and core Web environment application infrastructure. This resource will work closely with the key business user departments and several technical groups within Systems to ensure that the design and development of the new & enhanced applications meet business requirements. Responsibilities: Responsible for complete lifecycle development including analysis, design, coding, testing, documenting, installing and supporting new and existing applications and products. Participate in design and implementation of environment infrastructure project (architecture upgrades, migrations, etc.) Work closely with the user community to understand business requirements. Provide estimates and technical recommendations for new development. Provide technical guidance and support to other project members. Prepare supporting documentation as needed, including but not limited to Technical Specifications, Unit and Systems Test plans, Status Reports, and User Documentation. Provide daily and off-hours production support on a rotating basis. Requirements: 5+ years of development experience including 3+ years of Web development experience with JAVA/OO development tools; Solid knowledge of WinTel and Unix environments ? preferably Solaris OS, Linux; Proven experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, DB2, UDB, UML, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, WSAD5, RAD6, WebSphere 5.0, 6.0, and PVCS. Strong analytical, design, communication, testing and documenting skills. Ability to work in a team environment. BA/BS in Computer Science or related field. Other Preferred Skills/Experience: Financial Service Industry. MQSeries messaging. XML, XSL, LDAP Web/Internet/Data security concepts and techniques is a plus No H1 Visa candidates
